Rabin’s mother, Bina, noticed a cloudy layer forming in both of his eyes. She panicked and took him to an eye clinic run by a CBM partner. Her fears were confirmed – Rabin had cataracts in both eyes. Surgery was critical or Rabin would undoubtedly go blind.

Rabin’s father, Sarbat, was working in India to make ends meet. When he found out about Rabin’s sight, he boarded a bus to return home. The family’s worries were soon replaced by overwhelming joy and gratitude. Rabin received his surgery and his family’s travel expenses were covered..

Rabin’s life changed completely after his cataract surgery at CBM partner, Biratnagar Eye Hospital, in Nepal. Rabin was just a year old – his whole life ahead of him – and being able to see meant everything to him and his parents.

The surgery to correct his vision and restore his sight is well-known. It can be done with little fuss and in a short period of time. Please donate today to help giving sight saving surgery to children like Rabin.
